Nate Diaz and Kamaru Usman have gone back and forth on Twitter teasing a future fight for the UFC welterweight championship — this and much more on Wednesday's social media roundup.
Nate Diaz and Kamaru Usman go back and forth on Twitter teasing a future fight against each other
After Nate Diaz lost quite convincingly to Leon Edwards at UFC 263, talk of him fighting for a UFC title any time soon basically vanished.
However, Diaz's typical trash-talking has once again lured Kamaru Usman into acknowledging him on Twitter.
Check out the Twitter posts which Diaz targeted at Usman below.

Usman then responded to Diaz's tweets.
I see you 209. If you really want this 187 then call your boy hunter --
— KAMARU USMAN (@USMAN84kg) June 22, 2021
Key word “CHAMPION” lol. All you guys just internet tough guys nowadays. Like I said if you really want this pressure then holla at your boy hunter--
— KAMARU USMAN (@USMAN84kg) June 23, 2021
It would be very controversial if Diaz was the next fighter to face Usman but from a business point of view, it would make perfect sense as the fight would most likely generate millions of pay-per-view buys.

Potential Francis Ngannou vs Derrick Lewis fight pushed back by a month
Francis Ngannou's first defence of his UFC heavyweight title is looking likely to be a rematch with Derrick Lewis.
The target date for the fight has always been August, but due to scheduling conflicts it is looking like the fight will not take place until September according to Ariel Helwani.
UFC hoped to book Francis Ngannou x Derrick Lewis 2 for Aug. 7 but that is currently looking like a long shot at this point, sources say. Scheduling conflicts.

Nothing finalized at the moment but September is now a new target, I’m told.

Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad reignite their beef
After Belal Muhammad defeated UFC veteran Demian Maia at UFC 263, he called out Leon Edwards for a rematch.
Edwards, as expected, shut down all talk of a rematch as he is looking for a title fight against Kamaru Usman next.
This has led to Edwards and Muhammad going back and forth on Twitter.
See the interaction below.
