Nick Hein is dropping from the lightweight division to the featherweight division at UFC Fight Night: Rotterdam. The opponent for Hein is going to be Zabit Magomedsharipov.
Hein (14-2-0-1NC) enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, with those wins coming over Lukasz Sajewski, Yusuke Kusaya and Tae Hyun Bang. Hein has only suffered one defeat in the last two-plus years, which came by unanimous decision to James Vick at UFC Fight Night 57. Hein made his UFC debut by defeating Drew Dober at UFC Fight Night 41, the man he defeated would later marry his sister and become his brother-in-law.
Magomedsharipov (12-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so on the strength of an eight fight winning streak. Magomedsharipov is a longtime veteran of the Absolute Championships Berkut promotion, winning all six fights he competed at within the promotion. Magomedsharipov has only suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Igor Egorov by third round submission at Pro FC 47.
