Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull is coming off of a successful title defense over Pedro Carvalho at Bellator 252 and now he has his sights set on UFC featherweight champion Alexander Violkanovski.
Pitbull recently took to Twitter, where he claimed that he would need just one round to defeat the UFC featherweight champion:
I know he's right, except for me vs Volkanovski being a pick 'em. I'd sleep him in the first round. https://t.co/54eTltMNJD

Since the UFC and Bellator rarely do cross over fights, it is highly unlikely that Pitbull and Volkanovski will ever collide, unless one fighter crosses over into the other promotion. Until that dream bout comes to fruition, Pitbull will be fighting in the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix, while Volkanovski is expected to face Brian Ortega next.
