Paul Daley is coming off one of the most brutal knockout victories of his career, as he finished Brennan Ward with a flying knee strike at Bellator 170. Daley now has his thoughts geared towards another British striker.
“Page is deluded,” Daley said to Bloody Elbow. “I'm Floyd Mayweather, he's Adrien Broner. I have a KO the same as Saturday’s over Patrick Vallee from 2013.”
Daley is currently competing in the welterweight division while in Bellator MMA, but a change in weight class is also a possibility.
“Maybe some of the smaller middleweight contenders. Real challenges,” says Daley.
Daley doesn’t have his next fight set yet after the vicious knockout of Ward, but he does have an idea for his next bout.
“I will be fighting on the Bellator London card,” Daley said. “Against who...I don't know.”
Daley, besides fighting again in London, does have a former UFC fighter in mind for a fight down the line.
“We will see if Rory is laughing when and if our fight happens,” says Daley.
Daley has only suffered a single defeat in his Bellator MMA run, that loss came in 2016 to current Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima, Daley lost that fight by decision.
