It’s no secret by now that Paulie Malignaggi and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor aren’t on the best of terms ever since the infamous sparring photo was released.
Malignaggi has expressed an interest in fighting the MMA star and now the retired boxer is saying he’s willing to fight McGregor for free.
“I’m willing to risk fighting him for free just to punch him in the mouth again, again and again,” Malignaggi said on The MMA Hour. “That’s how confident I am he can’t beat me. I’d make it winner take all just for the pleasure of putting my fist in his teeth again.”
McGregor just made his professional boxing debut at “The Money Fight,” suffering a tenth round TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather.
If the two do happen to fight one day, the boxer has no doubts that he will stop the Irish fighter.
“Conor gets stopped by me,” he said. “If Conor doesn’t get stopped by me, I should get penalized at least a portion of my purse if I don’t stop this guy.”
Despite the two fighters apparent dislike for each other, the boxing star did provide color commentary for the Showtime pay-per-view broadcast of the super fight.
