Former UFC bantamweight champion, Petr Yan and top contender, Merab Dvalishvili are scheduled to headline a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event at The Theater at Virgin Hotels on March 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal's Adam Hill was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works, although the promotion itself has yet to officially confirm anything regarding the booking or event. Yan is 1-3 in his last four fights and will look to rebound from a split-decision loss to "Suga" Sean O'Malley at UFC 280 back in October. Dvalishvili meanwhile is 8-0 in his last eight Octagon outings and is coming off a unanimous decision win over former UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, also at UFC 280 last October.
