Rachael Ostovich Released By UFC After Three Straight Losses

Rachael Ostovich is the latest victim of UFC's ongoing roster purge.

UFC President Dana White warned at the UFC Vegas 16 post-fight presser that Yoel Romero was one of approximately 60 fighters who would be cut from the roster before year's end. Ostovich (4-6) is the latest fan-favorite name to part ways with UFC, the promotion confirmed on Monday — per ESPN.

"Our roster is very inflated right now," White said Saturday about the impending releases. "We're gonna have some big cuts coming before the end of the year. You're gonna see a lot of names going here in the next couple of weeks."

Ostovich, 29, is on the first losing streak of her professional mixed martial arts career after consecutive setbacks against Gina Mazany on November 28, Paige VanZant and Montana De La Rosa. The women's flyweight fighter was finished in each of those three fights: one by TKO and two by submission.
