A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the UFC On Fox 28 card as Renan Barao is going to be in action against Brian Kelleher.
The Orlando Sentinel first reported the bout.
Barao (34-5-0-1NC) has won just one of his last four fights in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Phillipe Nover at UFC Fight Night 95. Barao is a former UFC Bantamweight Champion, defeating Urijah Faber by decision at UFC 149 to win the gold. Barao would go onto defend the championship three times before losing it to TJ Dillashaw by fifth round TKO at UFC 173.
Kelleher (18-8-0) Has won two of three fights in the UFC, with those two wins coming over Iuri Alcantara and Damian Stasiak. Kelleher is also a veteran of the Ring Of Combat promotion, where he holds two wins over recent UFC signee Julio Arce. Kelleher has suffered a total of eight losses as a professional MMA fighter, but none of those losses came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC On Fox 28 takes place on Saturday, February 24 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
