A pair of welterweight fighters are set to clash at UFC Fight Night Hamburg according to Raphael Marinho of Combate as Abu Azaitar faces Vitor Miranda.
Azaitar (13-1-1-1NC) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so while on an eight fight winning streak. Azaitar also competed twice in the World Series Of Fighting, with his last appearance in the promotion being a unanimous decision win over Michael Arrant at the WSOF 33. Azaitar hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost six years, with his lone professional MMA loss coming to Marcin Naruszczka at Respect Fighting Championship 8.
Miranda (12-6-0) enters the contest on a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Chris Camozzi and Marvin Vettori. Miranda hasn’t picked up a win in over two years, as his last win came over Marcelo Guimaraes at UFC 196 in March of 2016. Miranda has suffered a total of six losses as a professional MMA fighter and five of those defeats came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Hamburg takes place on Sunday, July 22 from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
