A welterweight division affair has been added to UFC Fight Night Hamburg according to Karyn Bryant of MMA H.E.A.T. as Alan Jouban faces Danny Roberts.
Jouban (16-6-0) has won just one of his last three bouts in UFC competition, with that victory coming over Ben Saunders at UFC On Fox 28. Jouban has picked up a total of sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, but none of those victories have come by way of submission. Jouban has previously challenged for the Resurrection Fighting Alliance Welterweight Title, losing to then champion and UFC veteran Mike Rhodes at RFA 10.
Roberts (15-3-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC bouts, with his latest fight being a victory over Oliver Enkamp at UFC Fight Night London. Roberts has seen just one of his bouts in the UFC go the distance and that was a win over Dominique Steele at UFC 197. Roberts is undefeated on “Fight Night” cards thus far, having won his previous three appearances at such events.
UFC Fight Night Hamburg takes place on Sunday, July 22 from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany with Volkan Oezdemir and Mauricio Rua headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
