A welterweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight Night Moncton card according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Alex Garcia is in action against Court McGee.
Garcia (15-5-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last eight UFC appearances, with his last bout being a loss to Ryan LaFlare at UFC Fight Night Atlantic City. Garcia has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came to past or current UFC fighters. Garcia doesn’t have the best record when competing on “Fight Night” cards, as he holds a 2-3-0 mark in past events.
McGee (18-7-0) has won just two of his last six in UFC competition, with those wins coming over the duo of Marcio Alexandre Jr. and Dominique Steele. McGee was the middleweight winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 11, defeating Kris McCray in the finals of the reality show. McGee hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with that last victory coming at UFC Fight Night 92 in August of 2016.
UFC Fight Night Moncton takes place on Saturday, October 27 from the Moncton Events Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada with Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
