MMA

It would appear that one of the UFC’s best prospects and a former two time light heavyweight title challenger have come to terms for new deals with the promotion, as Zabit Magomedsharipov and Alexander Gustafsson have both reportedly signed new contracts with the UFC.

MMA Fighting reported the Magomedsharipov news, while the report doesn’t state how much the fighter will now make, it does say that the contract is for more than four fights.

Magomedsharipov was on his last fight with the promotion and the fighter currently holds a 3-0-0 record with the UFC (15-1-0 overall).

The other fighter to apparently sign a new deal with the UFC is th aforementioned Gustafsson, who made the announcement via Instagram:

While there aren’t much details on Gustafsson’s deal, a few tidbits were let out by Gustafsson’s manger in Nima Safapour to MMA Junkie:

“What I can tell you is this is the most lucrative deal of Alex’s career and one of the best deals in the space. Both the UFC and Alex are happy. It is a good deal for everyone. Hunter Campbell is an operator and a solid operator. We are excited to continue to grow with the UFC as partners and collaborators. The title is within reach now more than ever.”

There has been no comment yet from the UFC on the two fighters alleged new deals or when either of them are going to be back in action.
