A bantamweight division attraction is coming to UFC 250 as #2 Aljamain Sterling faces #4 Cory Sandhagen.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, but the bout’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Sterling (18-3-0) enters the contest riding a four fight winning streak, picking up wins over Brett Johns, Cody Stamann, Jimmie Rivera and Pedro Munhoz. Sterling hasn’t been defeated in over two years, with his last loss coming to Marlon Moraes at UFC Fight Night Fresno. Sterling has picked up eighteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.
Sandhagen (12-1-0) is undefeated in UFC competition, with notable wins coming over Iuri Alcantara, John Lineker and Raphael Assuncao. Sandhagen has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Jamall Emmers at LFA 5 in February of 2017. Sandhagen has competed thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and six of those bouts went the distance.
UFC 250 takes place on Saturday, June 6 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
