A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night China according to MMA Junkie as Anthony Hernandez is going to be in action against Jun Yong Park.
Hernandez (7-1-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Markus Perez via second round submission at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza. Hernandez competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 10, defeating Jordan Wright by first round knockout. Hernandez is a former Legacy Fighting Alliance Middleweight Champion, defeating Brendan Allen at LFA 32 to claim the gold.
Park (9-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Park is also going to be competing for the first time in a year, as his last professional MMA bout took place in July of 2018. Park has competed twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night China takes place on Saturday, August 31 from the Universiade Sports Centre in Shenzhen, China with Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
