Next week’s UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker card has taken a hit because Aspen Ladd has suffered an injury and has been pulled from a bout against Sara McMann.
John Morgan of MMA Junkie first reported the news, while Ariel Helwani of ESPN reports that Ladd suffered a torn ACL and MCL. UFC officials are seeking a replacement for Ladd, as McMann is expected to remain on the card at this time.
McMann (12-5-0) has won just one of her last three bouts, with that lone win coming over Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night Raleigh. McMann has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, losing to then champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 170. McMann has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter, with three of them coming to those who have held the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title.
UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker takes place on Saturday, June 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
