A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 247 as Austin Lingo is going to be in action against Youssef Zalal.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, which is expected to be a part of the preliminary card.
Lingo (7-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has already lasted over two years. Lingo has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance. Lingo has competed a total of nine times as an amateur and professional MMA fighter, with eight of those bouts coming in the Legacy Fighting Alliance.
Zalal (7-2-0) is also making his UFC debut in this bout and does so having won just one of his last three fights. Zalal has suffered a total of two losses as a professional MMA fighter, with those coming to Matt Jones and Jose Mariscal. Zalal has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of submission.
UFC 247 takes place on Saturday, February 8 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
