A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC 242 according to Farah Hannoun as Belal Muhammad is going to be in action against Takashi Sato.
Muhammad (15-3-0) has won five of his last six under the UFC banner, last defeating Curtis Millender by unanimous decision at UFC 236. Muhammad has seen his last six professional MMA bouts go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish. Muhammad has competed eighteen times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have ended by way of submission.
Sato (15-2-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, having defeated Ben Saunders by second round TKO at UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale. Sato will also enter the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost a year. Sato has competed seventeen times as a professional MMA fighter and only two of his bouts have gone the distance.
