Report: Bellator MMA Returns On July 24

MMA

Bellator MMA has been absent from the public eye since Bellator 240 in February, but that may be changing later this month.

Sherdog is reporting that the promotion is planning to run an event on July 24 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The promotion must first get their coronavirus safety protocols approved by the Mohegan Tribe Department Of Regulation before the event itself can be approved.

Those safety protocols will most likely include extensive testing, social distancing measures, cleaning procedures and Bellator holding its fights with no fans in attendance according to Sherdog.

No bouts have been announced for the card at this time, but a fight between Myles Jury and Georgi Karakhanyan was revealed by Jury for a July Bellator card, so that fight could be happening on July 24. There is also no broadcast plans revealed at this time, as the majority of Bellator MMA cards are split between the Paramount Network and DAZN.

Bellator MMA does have two cards listed on their events section right now, with those being Bellator Dublin on October 3 and Bellator Milano on October 10.
