An addition has been made to the Bellator MMA Lightweight Division as the promotion has reportedly signed Killys Mota to a multi-fight contract.
MMA Fighting first reported the signing, but the length of the contract and any financial numbers associated with said deal were not revealed at this time.
Mota (11-1-0) signs with the promotion after suffering his first and only professional MMA defeat, which came to UFC veteran Austin Hubbard via fifth round TKO at Legacy Fighting Alliance 56. Mota had started his professional MMA career with an eleven fight winning streak and five of those eleven wins came via first round finish. Mota has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those twelve encounters went to the judges scorecards. Mota has yet to compete at all in 2019, as his last professional MMA bout had taken place in December of 2018.
There is no word at this time as to when Mota is expected to make his promotional debut, but the fighter will enter a weight class currently ruled by Patricio Pitbull.
