Another member of the legendary Gracie Family is making their way to Bellator MMA as the promotion has reportedly signed Robson Gracie Jr., who is the brother of Renzo Gracie.
It was Robson who made the announcement himself via Instagram:
The newest addition to the Bellator MMA roster has no MMA experience to speak of, either as an amateur or as a pro. However, much like the rest of his family, it is Brazilian jiu-jitsu that Robson specializes in and will probably utilize once he enters the cage.
Robson now joins other Gracie Family members that have competed in Bellator MMA, such as UFC Hall Of Fame member Royce Gracie, Neiman Gracie and Khonry Gracie. Neiman is arguably the most successful member of the family to compete in the promotion and will take part in the upcoming Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix.
Gracie is expected to compete in the promotion’s welterweight division, which is currently ruled by UFC veteran Rory MacDonald.
There is no word at this time as to when Robson will make his promotional debut or whom that opponent can be.
