A new member has been added to the Bellator MMA Women’s Flyweight Division as the promotion has reportedly signed Sumiko Inaba to a deal. The length of the contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal weren't revealed at this time.
Sucker Punch Entertainment announced the signing through Instagram:
Inaba (0-0-0) is going to be making both her professional MMA and Bellator MMA debut whenever the fighter competes next. Inaba won six of seven as an amateur MMA fighter, picking up wins over Katherine Antoniak, Des Vida, Brianne Jhun, Tenika Waldroup, Nadine Mandiau and Kelsey Gilmore. Inaba won six fights as an amateur MMA competitor and five of those wins came by some form of finish.
There is no word yet on when Inaba will make her promotional debut or whom that bout is going to be coming against, but the fighter will enter a weight class currently ruled by Ilima-Lei Macfarlane.
