A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Vegas 15 as Bill Algeo faces Spike Carlyle.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout.
Algeo (13-5-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Ricardo Lamas at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Rakic. Algeo competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 1, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Brendan Loughnane. Algeo has suffered 18 losses as a professional MMA fighter and seven of those bouts went the distance.
Carlyle (9-2-0) has won just one of two in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Aalon Cruz at UFC Fight Night Norfolk. Carlyle is competing for the third time in 2020, as three fights per year has been Carlyle’s average fights per year since he turned pro. Carlyle has picked up five of nine pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, while another three came by way of submission.
UFC Vegas 15 takes place on Saturday, November 28 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
