A catchweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns as Spike Carlyle faces Billy Quarantillo.
MMA DNA first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Carlyle (9-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Aalon Cruz by first round TKO at UFC Fight Night Norfolk. Carlyle has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Serob Minasyan at CFX 12 in April of 2018. Carlyle has picked up nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Quarantillo (13-2-0) is also undefeated in the UFC, having defeated Jacob Kilburn by second round submission at UFC Fight Night Washington DC. Quarantillo also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22, making it to the second round of fights before losing to Saul Rogers. Quarantillo has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and four of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns takes place on Saturday, May 30 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
