A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 236 according to Nolan King of Flo Combat as Brandon Davis is going to be in action against Randy Costa.
Davis (9-5-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Steven Peterson at UFC Fight Night Austin. Davis also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 4, defeating Austin Arnett by unanimous decision. Davis competed a total of four times last year, having earned a record of 1-3-0 during that time frame.
Costa (4-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so after competing for less than a year as a professional MMA fighter. Costa has exclusively competed in the Cage Titans promotion before signing with the UFC, with all four wins in the promotion coming by way of KO/TKO. Costa also went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter, with two of those three bouts happening in the aforementioned Cage Titans promotion.
UFC 236 takes place on Saturday, April 13 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia with Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
