Brandon Davis is less than two weeks away from facing Enrique Barzola on the UFC Fight Pass featured prelim at UFC Fight Night Chile.

The fighter picked up his first win in the UFC over Steven Peterson at UFC Fight Night Austin and Davis is using the bonus money for a good purpose.

“(It) felt really good since we got a bonus to, I needed that money. I’m using it to go everywhere else and get some good training in,” Davis said in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

Davis now looks forward to a fight with Barzola, who has won four of five bouts during his time served with the UFC.

One issue Davis could be facing is problems with weight cutting due to the long distance traveling involved with getting to Chile, but the fighter will see what kind of toll it all takes on him.

“No its not that tough, I mean that I usually try to keep myself around 160-170 (pounds) if I can. I was at 165 this morning and I have been eating pretty good, I haven’t been cutting down on my meals…I have been eating all my meals. I just eat pretty clean, but the travel…I don’t know. We’ll have to see because I’ll be doing a lot of traveling here soon, we’ll see if that takes any toll on it,” says Davis.

UFC Fight Night Chile takes place on Saturday, May 19 from the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile with Damien Maia and Kamaru Usman headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
