Report: Brian Foster, Ramsey Nijem & Jason High Ruled Ineligible For PFL Playoffs, Johnny Case Awarded Spot

The final regular season event for the Professional Fighters League season one is set for tomorrow night and several playoff spots will get filled based on the results of several key bouts.

However, a trio of fighters have been ruled ineligible for playoff sports, with those fighters being Brian Foster, Ramsey Nijem and Jason High according to MMA Junkie.

Foster was forced to withdraw from the season after not getting a license to compete from the New Jersey State Athletic Commission (NJSAC). Foster had already been awarded a playoff spot, but that spot has now been withdrawn.

Nijem had yet to be cleared by the NJSAC after being medically suspended after a loss to Foster at PFL 2 this past June.

A bout was then made earlier this week pitting UFC veterans Jason High and Johnny Case for a playoff spot, but High came in four pounds overweight for the lightweight division affair and has been pulled from the card, making him unable to qualify for a playoff spot.

That whole mess would then lead to PFL officials awarding Case the final spot after High came in overweight for their encounter.

PFL 7 takes place on Thursday, August 30 from the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, new Jersey with Smealinho Rama and Jamie Abdallah headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
