A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Lincoln according to Barberena himself as Bryan Barberena faces Jake Ellenberger.
Barberena (13-5-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last four UFC bouts, with the last appearance being a unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night Rotterdam. Barberenahas fought Jake's brother Joe Ellenberger, picking up a third round TKO victory at UFC On Fox 13. Barberena has suffered a total of five losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be defeated by way of KO/TKO.
Ellenberger (31-14-0) has won just one of his last six under the UFC banner, with that win coming over Matt Brown at UFC 201. Ellenberger enters the contest on a three fight losing streak and that aforementioned win over Brown came in July of 2016, meaning that Ellenberger hasn't gotten a win in over two years. Ellenberger hasn't gone the distance in well over two years, as his last bout to go to the judge's scorecards came in January of 2016.
UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, August 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Justin Gaethje and James Vick headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
