Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are reportedly looking to meet in September.
On Thursday, February 7, a report came from ESPN's Mike Coppinger about a deal nearly being finished for a Canelo Alvarez/Jake Paul boxing match in May for Netflix.
Just hours later, Coppinger revealed that that the fight was off, saying that Alvarez instead opted to sign a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh and Riyadh Season. Coppinger also notes that Alvarez's first fight on the deal will come on May 4.

The first fight of Canelo’s four-fight deal, sources told ESPN, will take place May 4 in Riyadh that Sunday morning for a prime-time broadcast Saturday night in the U.S. Two names being considered for the Crawford tune-up: Jermall Charlo and Bruno Surace, who upset Jaime Munguia.

The fight between between Alverez and Terence Crawford, the second match on Alvarez's new deal, is currently being planned for September 13 in Las Vegas.

Alvarez defeated Edgar Berlanga by decision in September. He is the reigning WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, and The Ring super middleweight champion. He is 62-2-2 in his pro career and hasn't lost since May 2022.
On the other hand, Crawford last fought in August, defeating Israil Madrimov by unanimous decision. He is 41-0 in his pro career.
