Niko Price has suffered an injury according to Shawn Bitter of MMA Today and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Utica, replacing him against Belal Muhammad is going to be Chance Recountre.
Muhammad (13-2-0) enters the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating Randy Brown, Jordan Mein and Tim Means. Muhammad has seen his last three bouts go the distance and it has been well over a year since the fighter got a finish. Muhammad has suffered just two defeats as a professional MMA fighter, with one coming by knockout and the other coming by decision.
Rencountre (12-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so while on a four bout winning streak. Rencountre won two of three fights under the Bellator MMA banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Jake Lindsey and Justin Patterson. Rencountre has suffered two defeats as a pro and both of those losses have come by way of decision.
