A featherweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight Night Moncton card according to MMA Junkie as Chris Fishgold is going to be in action against Calvin Kattar.
Fishgold (17-1-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a seven fight winning streak. Fishgold is a former Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion, defeating Adam Boussif at Cage Warriors 77 to claim the gold. Fishgold has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Gi Bum Moon at Pro FC 10 in May of 2015.
Kattar (18-3-0) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Andre Fili and Shane Burgos. Kattar has seen his line nine professional MMA bouts make it into the third round, with eight of those fights going the distance. Kattar has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Moncton takes place on Saturday, October 27 from the Moncton Events Centre in Moncton, new Brunswick, canada with Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
