Report: Chris Fishgold Off UFC Fight Night Washington DC

Next weekends UFC Fight Night Washington DC card has taken a hit because Chris Fishgold has been pulled from a bout against Billy Quarantillo for undisclosed reasons.

The fighter would issue the following statement via Instagram stories:

“Unfortunately, I won’t be fighting on UFC Washington next week. Fingers crossed (I’ll) be back fighting soon..for now though back to my normal times with privates anyone wanting to book in drop me a message”

UFC officials are seeking a replacement to fight Quarantillo, who is expected to remain on the card at this time. 

Quarantillo (12-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Quarantillo competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 5, defeating Kamuela Kirk by third round TKO. Quarantillo also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22, making it to the second round before losing to Saul Rogers by unanimous decision.

UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capitol One Arena in Washington DC with Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
