A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Washington DC as Chris Fishgold is in action against Billy Quarantillo.
Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA (citing Washington Post Sports) first reported the bout.
Fishgold (18-3-1) has won just one of three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Daniel Teymur at UFC Fight Night Prague. Fishgold is a former Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion and he defend the belt twice before signing with the UFC. Fishgold has picked up eighteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and thirteen of them came by way of submission.
Quarantillo (12-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Quarantillo competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 5, defeating Kamuela Kirk by third round TKO. Quarantillo also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22, making it to the second round before losing to Saul Rogers by unanimous decision.
UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capitol One Arena in Washington DC with Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
