A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Nashville according to Farah Hannoun at Chris Gruetzemacher is going to be in action against Jesus Pinedo.
Gruetzemacher (14-3-0) has won just two of four bouts under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Abner Lloveras and Joe Lauzon. Gruetzemacher also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to Artem Lobov. Gruetzemacher has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats have come by way of submission.
Pinedo (16-4-1) is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Devin Powell by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires. Pinedo will enter the contest while in the midst of a seven fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years. Pinedo has picked up sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and nearly half of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Nashville takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee with Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
