A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Washington DC according to the Washington Post as #15 Cortney Casey is going to be in action against Virna Jandiroba.
Casey (8-7-0) has won just one of her last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming against Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Casey has seen her last six professional MMA fights go the distance and it has been over three years since the fighter got a finish. Casey has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of decision.
Jandiroba (14-1-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, having dropped a bout to Carla Esparza via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale. Jandiroba is a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, defeating Mizuki Inoue to win the gold at Invicta FC 28. Jandiroba has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them have come by way of submission.
