A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Prague according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Damir Ismagulov is in action against Joel Alvarez.
Ismagulov (17-2-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Alex Gorgees by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Adelaide. Ismagulov will enter the bout on the strength of a twelve fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years. Ismagulov is a former M-1 Challenge and Naiza Fighter Championship Lightweight Champion, defeating Ilias Chyngyzbek and Maxim Divnich to start those reigns.
Alvarez (15-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so while in the midst of a ten fight winning streak. Alvarez has competed sixteen times as a professional MMA fighter and he has yet to go the distance. Alvarez has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter, which came to Ali Abdulkhalikov at M-1 Challenge 56 in April of 2015.
UFC Fight Night Prague takes place on Saturday, February 23 from the 02 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic with Jan Blachowicz and Thiago Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
