A welterweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale according to Farrah Hannoun as Darren Stewart faces Edmen Shahbazyan.
Stewart (9-3-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, having defeated the duo of Eric Spicely and Charles Byrd. Stewart did not pick up a victory in his first four bouts in the UFC, earning a record of 0-3-1 during that time. Stewart also competed four time in the UK-based Cage Warriors promotion, winning all of those bouts in the organization.
Shahbazyan (7-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost two years. Shahbazyan did competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, defeating Antonio Jones by first round TKO. Shahbazyan has competed a total of seven times as a professional MMA fighter and he has yet to get out of the first round.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale takes place on Friday, November 30 from The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada with Rafael Dos Anjos and Kamaru Usman headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
