Danny Roberts will remain on the UFC Fight Night Hamburg card as David Zawada has announced that he will replace an injured Alan Jouban on a weeks notice.
Zawada (16-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a five bout winning streak. Zawada is a longtime veteran of the KSW MMA promotion out of Poland, holding a 3-2-0 record in the organization. Zawada has picked up a total of sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, with eleven of them coming by KO/TKO.
Roberts (15-3-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC bouts, with his latest fight being a victory over Oliver Enkamp at UFC Fight Night London. Roberts has seen just one of his bouts in the UFC go the distance and that was a win over Dominique Steele at UFC 197. Roberts is undefeated on “Fight Night” cards thus far, having won his previous three appearances at such events.
UFC Fight Night Hamburg takes place on Sunday, July 22 from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany with Anthony Smith and Mauricio Rua headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
