Douglas Silva De Andrade has suffered an injury and has been removed from next months UFC Fight Night Moscow card according to MMA Fighting, where he was supposed to fight Petr Yan.
UFC officials are seeking a replacement to fight Yan on short notice, as he is expected to remain on the card at this time. The promotion has a little over a month to find Yan a new opponent, as UFC Fight Night Moscow is scheduled for Saturday, September 15. There is no word yet on what injury De Andrade suffered or just how long the fighter is going to be out of action for.
Yan (9-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Teruto Ishihara by first round TKO at UFC Fight Night Singapore (2018). Yan is also a former Absolute Championship Berkut Bantamweight Champion, defeating Magomed Magomedov at ACB 57 to claim the gold. Yan also enters the contest while in the midst of a four fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years.
UFC Fight Night Moscow takes place on Saturday, September 15 from the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia with Mark Hunt and Alexey Oleinik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
