A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 239 according to Farah Hannoun as Edmen Shahbazyan is going to be in action against Jack Marshman.
Shahbazyan (9-0-0) has already picked up two victories under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Darren Stewart and Charles Byrd. Shahbazyan also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, defeating Antonio Jones by first round TKO. Shahbazyan is also undefeated thus far as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted over two years.
Marshman (23-8-0) has won just one of his last three in UFC competition, with that lone win coming over John Phillips at UFC Fight Night London. Marshman is currently winless on UFC pay-per-view cards, dropping a bout to Karl Roberson via unanimous decision at UFC 230. Marshman has picked up twenty three wins as a professional MMA fighter and thirteen of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC 239 takes place on Saturday, July 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jon Jones and Thiago Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
