Report: Efrain Escudero Replaces Rashid Magomedov At PFL 2

Rashid Magomedov has suffered an injury and has been pulled from the first season of the Professional Fighters League season one according to MMA Fighting, replacing him in the season and facing Jason High at PFL 2 is Efrain Escudero.

High (21-6-0) is undefeated under the PFL banner, having defeated Caros Fodor by unanimous decision at PFL: Daytona. High also won two of four fights during his time in the UFC, with those victories coming over Estevan Payan and Mike Ricci. High is also returning to competition for the first time in over a year, with his last fight taking place in June of 2017.

Escudero (29-13-0) is going to be making his PFL debut in this fight and does so having won three of the last four bouts. Escudero was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 8, defeating Phillipe Nover in the finals of the reality show. Escudero has fought a total of 42 times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of his bouts have gone the distance.

Professional Fighters League 2 takes place on Thursday, June 21 from the Chicago Theater in Chicago, Illinois with Will Brooks and Luiz Firmino headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
