A welterweight division encounter is the latest addition to UFC 224 according to Combate as Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos is in action against Sean Strickland.
Dos Santos (18-5-0) enters the contest on the strength of a four fight winning streak, defeating Max Griffin, Lyman Good, Keita Nakamura and Omari Akhmedov. Dos Santos has suffered just a single defeat under the UFC banner and that came to Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night 67. Dos Santos has earned the majority of his professional MMA wins by KO/TKO, but has yet to suffer a defeat in that manner.
Strickland (19-2-0) has won four of his last five fights under the UFC banner, with the most recent win coming over Court McGee at UFC Fight Night Norfolk. Strickland has only suffered two defeats under the UFC banner, with those losses coming to Kamaru Usman and Santiago Ponzinibbio. Strickland has competed once before in Brazil during his UFC tenure, which was a loss to the previously mentioned Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night 61.
