A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the yet to be announced UFC card on November 7 as Felipe Colares faces Gustavo Lopez.
MMA Junkie first reported the fight.
Colares (9-2-0) has won just one of three under the UFC banner with that lone win coming over Domingo Pilarte at UFC Fight Night San Antonio. Colares has not picked up a victory in over a year, as the aforementioned win over Pilarte came in July of 2019. Colares has competed three times in the UFC and all three of those encounters went to the judges scorecards.
Lopez (11-5-0) is winless thus far in the UFC, having dropped a bout to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo. Lopez is a former Combate Americas bantamweight champion and he relinquished the title upon signing with the UFC. Lopez has competed 16 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.
The yet-to-be-announced UFC card is set for Saturday, November 7 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
