Report: Frankie Saenz vs. Merab Dvalishvili Added To UFC Fight Night Fresno

A bantamweight division encounter could be the next bout added to UFC Fight Night Fresno as Frankie Saenz is in action against Merab Dvalishvili.

Saenz (11-5-0) enters the fight riding a three bout losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory since defeating Sirwan Kakai at UFC Fight Night 73. Those three losses that Saenz suffered in the UFC came to Urijah Faber, Eddie Wineland and Augusto Mendes. Saenz is also a former King Of The Cage Bantamweight Champion, defeating Marvin Blumer to win the belt in 2014.

Dvalishvili (7-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so while riding a six fight winning streak. Dvalishvili has spent the majority of his pro MMA career competing in the Ring Of Combat promotion, winning five of six in that company. Dvalishvili hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost three years and that last loss came to Ricky Bandejas at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 43 in November of 2014.

UFC Fight Night Fresno takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California with Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
