Report: Germaine De Randamie Faces Ketlen Vieira At UFC Fight Night Belem

A women’s bantamweight division fight may be added to the forthcoming UFC Fight Night Belem card as #8 Ketlen Vieira is in action against #9 Germaine De Randamie.

Vieira (9-0-0) has already won three bouts under the UFC banner, defeating Sara McMann, Ashlee Evans-Smith and Kelly Faszholz. Vieira also enters the fight undefeated as a professional MMA fighter with a streak that has lasted over three years. Vieira is returning to her native Brazil for the first time since defeating Estefani Almeida by decision at Big Way Fight 9 in February of 2016.

De Randamie (7-3-0) was the first ever UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion, defeating Holly Holm at UFC 208 to win the gold. De Randamie has since been stripped of  the championship and this fight marks her return to the women’s bantamweight division. De Randamie enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak and her only loss in the UFC has come to current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.

UFC Fight Night Belem takes place on Saturday, February 3 from the Mangueirinho Gymnasium in Belem, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
