A lightweight division attraction has found its way to the UFC On Fox 29 card according to MMA Fighting as Gilbert Burns faces Dan Moret.
Burns (12-2-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC appearances, with the last bout being a victory over Jason Saggo at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh. Burns has suffered two defeats as a professional MMA fighter, with both of them coming in UFC competition against Rashid Magomedov and Michel Prazeres. Burns never left the first round in any of his professional MMA bouts before signing with the UFC, but five of his seven UFC bouts have gotten out of the opening round.
Moret (13-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a two bout winning streak. Moret also had a long run in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, winning four of the seven bouts he competed at in the promotion. Moret also went undefeated during a five fight run as an amateur competitor, with all of those wins coming by KO/TKO and submission.
UFC On Fox 29 takes place on Saturday, April 14 from the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona with Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
