Glover Teixeira has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and his bout against Thiago Santos.
The card was set to headline UFC Vegas 10, has been moved to UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana. Combate first reported the news, while also reporting that the five-round fight will now be a three-round bout on October 3.
There is no word yet on what will now headline UFC Vegas 10, but other notable bouts on the card included former UFC women’s strawweight champion Carla Esparza vs. Angela Hill, Roxanne Modafferi vs. Andrea Lee and Bryan Barberena vs. Anthony Ivy. The UFC has yet to issue an official statement on Teixeira’s positive COVID-19 test, while Ariel Helwani of ESPN spoke with Teixeira’s team and they say that the fighter is feeling “100%.”
UFC Vegas 10 is set for Saturday, September 12 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which will stream live on ESPN+.
