Report: Gregor Gillespie Fights Vinc Pichel At UFC Fight Night Utica

A lightweight division affair is heading to the UFC Fight Night Utica card according to Farah Hannoun as Gregor Gillespie may be facing Vinc Pichel.

Gillespie (11-0-0) has already competed four times under the UFC banner, last defeating Jordan Rinaldi at UFC On Fox 27. Gillespie had previously competed in Ring Of Combat before heading over to the UFC, with all but one of his wins in the promotion coming by form of first round finish. Gillespie has seen just two of his professional MMA bouts go the distance, with one coming in the UFC and the other coming in Ring Of Combat.

Pichel (11-1-0) enters the contest in the midst of a four fight winning streak and the fighter hasn’t suffered a defeat in over five years. Pichel competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15, making it to the semi-finals before losing to Al Iaquinta. Pichel has seen three of his five fights in the UFC go the distance, with the competitor winning all of those encounters.

UFC Fight night Utica takes place on Friday, June 1 from the Adirondack Bank Arena in Utica, New York with Marlon Moraes and Jimmie Rivera headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
