A middleweight division affair could be getting a spot on the UFC 224 card according to Combate as Jack Hermansson is potentially battling Thales Leites.
Hermansson (16-4-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, but is coming off of a loss to Thiago Santos at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Hermansson has also seen just one of his five fights in the UFC go the distance and that came against Scott Askham at UFC Fight Night 93. Hermansson also competed in the Cage Warriors promotion, where he held the promotions middleweight championship in 2014.
Leites (27-8-0) has won two of his last six in UFC competition, with those victories coming over Chris Camozzi and Sam Alvey. Leites has previously challenged for the UFC Middleweight Title, suffering a unanimous decision loss to then champion Anderson Silva at UFC 97. Leites has also seen five of his last six bouts in the UFC go to a decision, earning a record of 1-4-0 in those encounters.
