A women’s strawweight division encounter has been added to UFC 226 according to MMASoldier.net as Jamie Moyle faces Emily Whitmire.
Moyle (4-2-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Kailin Curran by unanimous decision at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale. Moyle also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, losing to Amanda Cooper in the opening round of the reality show. Moyle has seen five of her six professional MMA fights go the distance, with the fighter holding a record of 3-2-0 in those encounters.
Whitmire (2-2-0) is currently winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to Gillian Robertson at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Whitmire also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to Roxanne Modafferi. Whitmire has earned just two victories thus far in her professional MMA career, with both of those wins coming by way of decision.
