MMA

Next months UFC Fight Night Auckland card has taken a hit because Jamie Mullarkey has suffered an injury and has been pulled from a bout against Jalin Turner.

MMA Junkie first reported the news, but the nature of Mullarkey’s injury and how long the fighter is going to be out of action for isn’t known at the moment. Turner is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement for him to fight.

Turner (8-5-0) has won just one of three thus far in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Callan Potter at UFC 234. Turner hasn’t picked up a victory in just about a year, as the win at UFC 234 took place in February of 2019. Turner has competed a total of thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

UFC Fight Night Auckland takes place on Saturday, February 22 from the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand with Paul Felder and Dan Hooker headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
